AFTER being thwarted time after time, Merthyr hit two second-half goals through Ian Traylor and Kerry Morgan  to overcome the battling visitors.
With only one point on their travels this  campaign, there was always the Merthyr  fear that Wimborne's lean spell might end.
Goalkeeper Gerard Benfield, last season's "most improved young player" gave an heroic display, stopping everything that Merthyr could muster. And several  efforts were cleared off the line.
