Injury hit Martyrs on road to Royston

Merthyr Town will be missing several key players for the trip to Royston.

Captain Ashley Evans needs an operation on an injury which affected him last season, and the club are going to have to manage his games for the remainder of the season. Corey Jenkins has not recovered from ankle injury sustained last week and is unavailable.  Scott Tancock (calf) and Jaye Bowen (hamstring) are also set to miss out.

The Martyrs have picked up 7 points from last 3 games against bottom 3 teams which has taken them to 41 points, but Saturday will be a tough test against a Royston Town side that are 7th in the table and in the hunt for a play-off positions in their first season in the Premier Division. They are currently 3 points behind 5th place Chesham with 3 games in hand, although Slough are 6th position it 4 games in hand on Royston.

The reverse fixture finished 2-1 to Merthyr in September with Ashley Evans scoring both goals. Adam Marriott is top scorer for Royston with 16 goals so far this season.
