Merthyr Town secured 3 points against Tiverton who were reduced to 10 men in the first half. 

Merthyr dominated the first half and on 26 minutes Eliot Richards picked up the ball best two Tiverton defenders before firing a shot past Martin Rice to make it 1-0.

The visitors went down to 10 men when striker Jordan Rogers picked up his second yellow card after clashing with Kyle Patten. On the stroke of half time Eliot Richards was fouled playing ball wide to Adam Davies, referee Daniel Flynn played a good advantage and Davies cross was tapped in at the far post by Ian Traylor to make it 2-0.

The second half saw Merthyr have plenty of possession without getting the third goal. The visitors came back into the game and on 70 minutes Merthyr gave ball the away in midfield and Levi Landricombe who was brought down by Scott Tancock 25 yards out. Landricombe picked himself up and curled freekick passed Oliver Davies to reduce deficit to 2-1. 

On 85 minutes Merthyr were reduced to 10 men when Stuart Fleetwood was sent off for an off the ball incident. Goalkeeper Oliver Davies was forced to make a late save to deny Ollie Knowles. Overall Merthyr deserved the victory which should have been more comfortable.
