Merthyr Town manager Gavin Williams iis preparing his team for a tough clash against 3rd place Weymouth on Saturday 3 February at the LoadLok Community Stadium.
The Martyrs lost in a cruel way at promotion hopefuls Slough Town last Saturday which disappointed Williams and the players and they will be keen to put the defeat behind them. The match is the third successive game against teams seeking promotion with key players missing.
Jarrad Wright and Craig Reddy are still suspended, with Matthew Harris and Kerry Morgan’s fitness being assessed before the game. Kyle Patten is fit again and may feature after missing last 8 weeks due to an ankle operation. Cameron Clarke has left the club this week so will not be in the squad.
Brandon Goodship is the visitors key player. He scored 3 of his 22 league goals (24 overall) against Merthyr in the reverse fixture earlier this season. Weymouth are 3 points behind leaders Kings Lynn Town and won at Royston Town on Tuesday night.
