Match Day Guide - Swindon Supermarine

We entertain Swindon Supermarine at Penydarren Park on Saturday afternoon for another crucial fixture in the Pitching IN Southern League Premier South title race (3pm Kick Off).
The Martyrs will be looking to extend their current unbeaten run to 29-games and maintain their lead at the top of the Southern League, but will come up against Swindon Supermarine side who are under the management of former Martyrs forward Stuart Fleetwood.
Arriving at Penydarren Park
The gates at PP will be open from 12:30. Supporters are encouraged to arrive as early as possible, to enter the ground well ahead of kick-off at 3pm, as we expect queues at the turnstiles with another great crowd at Penydarren Park!

Cash and Card payments are now accepted on the Turnstiles at the entrance to the Lyn Jones Grandstand.

Calling all Welsh EFL Club fans don’t forget that you get the reduced entry of £10 into any Martyrs 2024/25 home league games, on production of a valid 2024/25 Season Ticket for Cardiff City, Swansea City, Newport County or Wrexham.
Car Parking
There will only be car parking in Penydarren Park for those supporters with reserved parking spaces for the 2024/25 season, as well as a limited number of disabled parking spaces.
Car parking is available in the Castle Street Multi-Story Car Park or College Car Park just a short 5–10-minute walk from the ground. We ask any visitors to the ground to please park sensibly in the local area around Penydarren Park and to respect the neighbouring residents.
Bar & Food Facilities
Before kick-off tomorrow, you can purchase a range of drinks from the club’s bars. Webley's and Roman’s Bar will be open from 12:30pm.
Holveys Café will be open from 2pm serving hot food, including the famous cob and chips, also our additional ‘FOOD CABIN’ will also be open from 2pm serving hot food, alcoholic drinks and soft drinks.
Club Shop
Pay a visit to the Merthyr Town Club Shop and purchase our replica kits, leisurewear, and accessories. The store will be opening it's doors from 2pm, giving Martyr's fans plenty of time to visit before entering PP!
50/50 Tickets & Match-day Programme
Our usual 50/50 tickets will be available to purchase around the ground at just £1. The draw will be made at half-time, with the winner being announced by our match-day announcer.
Pick up a copy of our match-day programme at just £2. The programmes will be on sale around the ground prior to kick-off.
LIVE MUSIC
We will have Live Music straight after the game on Saturday from ‘FADED TARGET’. Entry is £3 on the door at Romans Bar. Over 18s Only.
Live Premier League Football & Six Nations Rugby
We will be showing live coverage of the premier league fixture Nottingham Forest v Manchester City from 12:30, and we will also have live coverage of Wales’ Six Nations clash with Scotland from 16:45!

Last Meeting
Earlier this season, we travelled to Swindon Supermarine on a Tuesday evening in September, when the Martyrs ran riot winning 5-1 with a hat-trick from Lewys Twamley, plus goals scored by Callum Ryan-Phillips and Cole Jarvis.
One To Watch
Supermarine’s centre forward, Harry Williams, is the club’s top scorer in the league this season with 14 goals and is a familiar face to the Martyrs due to his long periods with Supermarine over many years, as well as spells with Gloucester City and Salisbury.
Mascots & Flag Bearers
We welcome the children from Heolgerrig Red Lion U10 Girls who are our match-day mascots for Saturday’s game and we also welcome Splott Albion U10’s who are our Flag Bearers, as both teams will be leading the Martyrs out at Penydarren Park ahead of the game.
