Form Guide
Merthyr Town – L W W
Hanwell Town – W W L
The Martyrs enjoyed victories in their first two games of the league season, hammering Tiverton 6-0, before going away to Frome and coming home with a 2-0 victory. Last weekend saw a tough outing against an impressive Walton and Hersham, and the Martyrs will be looking to bounce back from that defeat today.
A key player for Hanwell Town this afternoon will be experienced keeper, Sam Beasant. Son of former FA Cup winner and England International, Dave Beasant, Sam has enjoyed a strong career across the Football League and non-league system with spells at Cambridge United, Stevenage, Woking and Chesham United.
Previous Result
Last season, The Martyrs comfortably beat Hanwell Town 4-0 at Penydarren Park in December 2023, thanks to goals from Tom Handley, Gethyn Hill, Ricardo Rees and Callum Ryan-Phillips.
Mascots
We welcome the children from Baili Glas U10s Girls who are our match-day mascots for Saturday’s game and will be leading the Martyrs out at Penydarren Park ahead of the game.
